The Edison Scholars Program is granted to students who have the potential to succeed in college and their chosen careers. It is applicable to students who want to pursue a career in engineering, math, computer science, physics, information systems, chemistry and materials science. The scholarship is also offered for four years where students get $10,000 annually.

Requirements:

  • You must be a high school senior.
  • You must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 on a scale of 4.0.
  • You must live or be enrolled in a public/private high school in locations serviced by the Southern California Edison (SCE).
  • As an alternative to the above requirement, applicants must be enrolled in an eligible high school located in an area that surrounds the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).
  • You must have plans to attend a four year program in a U.S. accredited university or college.
  • You should have plans to enroll in a full time undergraduate study in the disciplines mentioned above.
  • You must present proof of financial need or information; Copy of the parents’ latest IRS tax form.
  • Complete the online application.
  • You must include college test scores such as SAT or ACT, if available.
  • You should enclose a scholarship application personal statement of educational and career goals and objectives.
