Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, often referred to as the University of Leuven, is a independent and free catholic university founded in 1425 in  Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. KU Leuven provides education related services to over 41,000 students, of which 4,500 are doctoral students. The university is most notable for its bachelor and masters programs in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences, Bioscience Engineering, Economics and Business, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Medicine.

Advice on Personal Statement for KU Leuven Admissions

The KU Leuven personal statement or letter of motivation should be between two and three pages in length and written in English. The essay should be about why the applicant wants to study philosophy at this specific institution. Included in the essay should also be a detailed account of the applicant's academic history. A question that applicants are required to answer in the essay is "Is there any significant experience that helped you define as a person and made you interested in philosophy?" All essays should be truthful and unique.
