University of Florida Personal Statement

The University of Florida, also known as UF, is a public research university that was founded in 1853. The university employs and provides education to 5,087 Academic staff and nearly fifty thousand students. UF is home to sixteen academic colleges and over 150 institutes and research centers. Students are offered a wide variety of professional and graduate programs-including law, dentistry, medicine, business administration, and veterinary medicine. The universities campus totals more than 2,000 acres (8.1 km2).
